The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has distributed over $50 billion dollars via its Provider Relief Fund to Medicare fee-for-service providers (largely hospitals) since April 2020. Funds were distributed through both “general” distributions and “targeted” distributions. In targeted distributions, HHS focused nearly $11 billion dollars in a special “rural distribution” fund, aimed at supporting rural acute care hospitals, critical access hospitals, rural health clinics, and community health centers located in rural areas.
Follow along in this webinar hosted by the BCA, as Catherine Kirkland of Starnes Davis Florie LLP explains the details of the Provider Relief Fund, how to comply with the HHS guidance, compliance, and future audits.
