The deadline is Dec. 18 for nominations for Alabama Manufacturer of the Year Awards presented by the Alabama Technology Network and the Business Council of Alabama.
The ATN and BCA announce the Manufacturers of the Year in the small, medium, and large categories at the annual Manufacturer of the Year Awards ceremony April 12 at the Alabama Activity Center in Montgomery.
Now in its 17th year, the MOTY Awards honor individuals and companies that bring uncompromising excellence to Alabama manufacturing. Since 2000, the Alabama Manufacturer of the Year Awards program has grown into a prestigious annual celebration.
The awards’ ceremony is attended by Alabama dignitaries and manufacturing leaders.
The MOTY Awards recognize accomplishments of the state’s top manufacturers. By applying for the award, manufacturers convey their story of financial growth, manufacturing leadership, market leadership, leadership development, and workforce enhancement.
Awards are presented in three categories based on income and employee size – 1 to 99 employees in the small manufacturer category, 100 to 399 employees in the medium manufacturer category, and 400 or more employees in the large manufacturer category. Any financial information accompanying an entry is held in the strictest confidence.
This year’s winners were a diverse group.
In the Small Manufacturer of the Year, the winner was Watring Technologies Inc. of Huntsville. The Medium Manufacturer of the Year for 2015 was Raytheon Redstone Missile Integration Facility in Huntsville, and the Large Manufacturer of the Year was North American Lighting of Muscle Shoals.
In addition, The Emerging Manufacturer of the Year Award may be presented to one company that has been in operation for five or fewer years and has demonstrated superior performance.
You too can be part of this annual celebration of manufacturing excellence.
Apply for the prestigious award to share your story, recognize the hard work and dedication of your employees, promote significant accomplishments, highlight corporate citizenship, join the ranks of other notable manufacturers, receive well-deserved news coverage, and help increase public awareness about the strength and economic significance of Alabama’s manufacturing community.
The application deadline is Feb. 26 and finalists are selected by an impartial panel. Winners will be announced at the awards’ luncheon on April 12.
