Another Business Council of Alabama’s Governmental Affairs Conference that concluded Sunday at Point Clear was successful thanks to the 34 sponsors of the annual summer event.

The conference at the Marriott Grand Hotel on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay began with a welcome reception Aug. 16 and concluded Aug. 18 with a worship service and an inspirational message by former LSU women’s soccer star and motivational speaker Mo Isom. Retired U.S. Rep. Jo Bonner, R-Mobile, was honored for his service in Washington

Governor Robert Bentley addressed BCA members at the Aug. 17 morning session and former state school Superintendent Joe Morton and former state Rep. Jay Love, R-Montgomery, unveiled a new business-education partnership – the non-profit Business Education Alliance. National political expert Charlie Cook and business communication expert Michael Hyatt entertained and informed the nearly 500 BCA members and guests who attended over the weekend.
