JamisonMoneyFarmer PC, whose executive board Chairman Carl T. Jamison was the 2013 Business Council of Alabama chairman, has expanded to the central downtown business district at 420 20th Street North, Suite 2250.
JamisonMoneyFarmer employs more than 90 professionals and support personnel, including 14 shareholders, in Birmingham, Selma, and Tuscaloosa, the company said.
JamisonMoneyFarmer serves privately held businesses and their owners in differing industries, specializing in manufacturing, construction, timber, oil and gas, coal, and professional service firms. The company provides accounting, tax, estate, trust, wealth management, and international advisory services not only in Alabama but also the Southeast.
“We are excited to be a part of the vibrant growth in Birmingham, especially in the downtown area that is seeing a rebirth,” Jamison said in a statement. “A physical Birmingham presence is an integral part of our strategic growth plan and it allows us to better serve our clients in Alabama’s largest market.”
Janet Moore, a long-time JMF shareholder, will head the new Birmingham office.
She is a member of the BCA Tax and Fiscal Policy Committee, co-chair of the American Institute on Federal Taxation, the Birmingham Business Alliance, the UAB Professional Advisory Council, Birmingham Venture Club, TechBirmingham, and the Central Alabama Angel Network.
“This office allows us to better serve the Southeast’s growing automotive supplier base,” Moore said.
“JMF has unique international accounting and tax capabilities, particularly with respect to exporters and foreign-owned companies.”
JamisonMoneyFarmer PC was founded in 1920 by the late Carl C. Jamison, one of the first CPAs in the state. JMF recently was recognized as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Alabama and as one of the 500 largest firms out of 44,000 CPA firms in the United States by the AICPA.
