Coca-Cola UNITED Names General Counsel and Vice President

Business Council of Alabama member Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, Inc., has named Lucas B. Gambino General Counsel and Vice President. His appointment was effective Sept. 10.

Gambino practiced corporate and banking law for more than 18 years with Maynard Cooper & Gale in Birmingham. He previously worked in the Mobile office of Sirote & Permutt, Coca-Cola UNITED said in a release.

“We welcome Lucas to the Coca-Cola UNITED family and look forward to his wealth of experience and knowledge as we continue to grow our business and serve our customers across the Southeast,” Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED President and CEO John Sherman said.

Gambino graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1995 with a degree in accounting.  He attended the University of Alabama School of Law and graduated in 1999.

The Fairhope native’s family has owned and operated several restaurants there and in Mobile for more than 30 years, including the well-known Gambino’s in Fairhope. He serves on the board of the Alabama chapter of the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ), and he has been recognized by Chambers USA in its America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Banking & Finance.
