The Business Council of Alabama on Monday sponsored the River Region Ethics in Business and Public Service Award in the large business category to Jackson Thornton & Company P.C. at a noon luncheon in Montgomery.
The award was presented to Jackson Thornton by retired Montgomery County Presiding Circuit Judge Charles Price, a member of the board of directors of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce and senior advisor to the mayor of Montgomery. Other nominees in the large business category were Adams Drugs and the Foshee Cos.
The awards are a program of The Samaritan Counseling Center Inc. in collaboration with the schools of Business and Sciences at Auburn University Montgomery. Awards and were given in the small, medium and large-business, and non-profit categories.
The River Region Ethics in Business and Public Service Awards recognize a climate of ethical integrity by businesses, organizations, and individuals, promote awareness and education concerning ethical business and public service behavior, heighten awareness of programs and services offered by The
Samaritan Counseling Center that serves to strengthen families and organizations, and support the center’s healing work.
