Alabama Defense Contractors Are Eligible for Business Expansion Services

The University of Alabama in Huntsville is working with the Department of Defense to help DOD contractors expand their businesses. The Alabama Defense Industry Diversification Analysis Project (ADIDAP) is providing qualifying Alabama businesses an opportunity to receive market diversification services at no cost to their organization.

Free briefings are being hosted by ALSBDC in Huntsville on Thursday and in Dothan on May 31.

Registration is now open for the Huntsville and Dothan briefings. Click here for more information.

The Strengthen My Company project includes possible support in commercialization, diversification of your customer base, expanding into new regions, finding customers for new products or services, existing products or services, finding new markets, improving capacity and productivity, creating a culture of innovation in your company, technology scouting, and value-stream mapping.

There are eligibility requirements to receive services: you must currently receive at least 10 percent of revenue from DoD-related work, have at least 5 percent of current DOD contracts expiring within the next 18 months, and not have been barred or suspended from doing business with a federal or state entity.
