MONTGOMERY, Ala.— The Business Council of Alabama (BCA) and its political arm, WorkPAC (formerly ProgressPAC), are celebrating a successful 2026 election cycle, with 122 of the 127 candidates supported by the organization, or 96%, securing victories in Tuesday’s General Election.
From statewide constitutional offices to competitive legislative races, BCA-supported candidates delivered decisive results across Alabama, reinforcing the commitment to electing leaders who champion free enterprise, economic growth, and a strong business climate.
“Tuesday’s results represent a tremendous victory for Alabama’s business community,” said BCA President and CEO Helena Duncan. “The success of these candidates reflects the strength of our members, the impact of our collective efforts, and our shared commitment to ensuring Alabama remains a place where businesses can invest, grow, and succeed.”
BCA-supported candidates won each statewide constitutional office and judicial race in which the organization engaged. In the Alabama Legislature, supported candidates secured 25 State Senate seats and 87 State House seats, further strengthening relationships with pro-business leaders in Montgomery.
BCA’s 2026 general election victories include:
- All statewide offices in which BCA engaged.
- 25 of 28 State Senate races, an 89% success rate.
- 87 of 89 State House races, a 98% success rate.
- 48 of 53 contested races, a 91% success rate.
Among the night’s most notable victories was Governor-elect Tommy Tuberville’s win, presenting a significant opportunity for BCA to work alongside a new administration committed to advancing Alabama’s economic future.
The election results mark a major achievement for BCA’s Campaign 2026 initiative, which focused on supporting candidates who share the business community’s priorities and building strong relationships with legislative leadership. Even amid a challenging national political environment, BCA-supported candidates prevailed in several of Alabama’s most competitive legislative contests.
“These results demonstrate what can be accomplished when Alabama’s business community comes together behind leaders who understand the importance of a strong economy,” said 2026 WorkPAC Chairman Kevin Savoy. “We are grateful to our members and WorkPAC investors whose support made these victories possible, and we look forward to building on this momentum in the years ahead.”
With the 2026 election cycle drawing to a close, BCA remains focused on turning electoral success into meaningful policy progress, working with elected leaders to protect free enterprise, strengthen Alabama’s workforce, attract new investment, and keep Alabama the best place to do business for generations to come.
