MONTGOMERY, Ala. – ProgressPAC, the political affiliate of the Business Council of Alabama (BCA), is proud to announce its endorsement of Wes Allen in his campaign for Lieutenant Governor of Alabama.
“Wes Allen understands that efficient government and a strong business climate go hand in hand,” said ProgressPAC Chairman Kevin Savoy. “As Secretary of State, he implemented key reforms like improving election security, reducing bureaucratic red tape, and cutting unnecessary spending. We are confident that he will bring similar pro-business, results-oriented leadership as Lieutenant Governor.”
Currently serving as Alabama’s 54th Secretary of State, Allen has established a strong record of conservative leadership, fiscal responsibility, and effective governance. Since taking office in 2023, he has worked to strengthen election integrity while reducing unnecessary red tape for businesses and candidates across the state.
“Wes Allen has proven himself to be a principled elected official and a steady leader,” said Helena Duncan, President and CEO of the Business Council of Alabama. “His commitment to accountability, fiscal discipline, and limited government will serve Alabama well as Lieutenant Governor.”
Among Allen’s key accomplishments are withdrawing Alabama from the ERIC system, launching the Alabama Voter Integrity Database (AVID), and advancing legislative reforms to require paper ballots, ban internet connectivity for election tabulators, outlaw absentee ballot harvesting and ranked-choice voting, and expand Alabama’s crimes of moral turpitude law. He also supported legislation that reduced fees and reporting requirements for candidates in Alabama.
“I am honored to have the endorsement of the Business Council of Alabama and the thousands of small businesses and large employers that they represent,” said Allen. “We share a common goal of working each day to make Alabama the best state in the country to work, to live, and to raise a family.”
A lifelong public servant, Allen previously served as Pike County Probate Judge and in the Alabama House of Representatives.
ProgressPAC is confident that Wes Allen will continue to champion pro-business policies, responsible governance, and economic growth for Alabama.
