The voice for Alabama businesses.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Business Council of Alabama (BCA) announced today the addition of Katelyn Bussey as its new director of communications.
With a background in strategic communication and a proven track record in public service, Bussey joins BCA following her current role as Congressman Jerry Carl’s press secretary. She previously served as a press assistant and legislative correspondent in the U.S. House of Representatives and as a digital fundraising coordinator for the Republican National Committee.
Bussey holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Auburn University.
“Katelyn is a dedicated communicator with a background in government and has a deep understanding of BCA’s mission. Her experience aligns with our objectives, and we anticipate her contributions to advancing pro-business initiatives and promoting Alabama’s business community,” said BCA President and CEO Helena Duncan.
As director of communications, Bussey will work to enhance member relations and strategically amplify BCA’s message.
“I’m excited to bring my passion for strategic communication and advocacy to BCA, and I can’t wait to contribute to their mission of driving economic growth and prosperity in Alabama,” said Bussey.
Bussey will assume the role starting May 15.
