MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Business Council of Alabama (BCA) today announced that Drew Harrell has been named executive director of ProgressPAC, BCA’s pro-jobs political arm.
Harrell will also continue in his role as BCA’s vice president of governmental affairs.
“Drew is the perfect choice for this important duty as executive director of ProgressPAC,” said David Cole, senior vice president of governmental affairs for BCA. “Drew has an unsurpassed work ethic, a deep knowledge of BCA and strong relationships with our members across the state. His experience and success on pro-growth issues and policies will be a tremendous asset to BCA and the overall business community as we support Alabama job creators and pro-growth policies.”
BCA and ProgressPAC are membership driven and remain committed to advocating for Alabama’s future by endorsing and supporting pro-jobs candidates who will help lead Alabama in the right direction.
Harrell came to BCA in 2011 as executive assistant to the president and later was given expanded duties as executive assistant and strategic operations coordinator. Prior to his current role as VP of governmental affairs, Harrell served as the director of governmental and regulatory affairs, in addition to serving as executive director of the Alliance for Alabama’s Infrastructure. Throughout his career with BCA, he has played an instrumental role in crafting and implementing BCA’s legislative agenda at both the state and federal level.
