MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Business Council of Alabama (BCA) today announced the addition of Shannon Parker to the staff as the director of strategic relations.
Parker comes to the organization with over 25 years of experience in the financial sector, having most recently served as vice president of business development and branch operations at Liberty Bank & Trust.
“Shannon will be a valuable asset to sharpen our team as we continue working to advance the BCA mission and enhance the voices of nearly one million hardworking Alabamians,” said BCA President & CEO Helena Duncan. “Shannon’s extensive experience and spirit of service will be an effective component to powering our ongoing initiatives and a fresh perspective when bringing new ideas to the table, which will further strengthen the business community in our state.”
Parker has excelled in a variety of roles within the banking industry. Prior to working at Liberty Bank & Trust, Parker worked as director of bankcard services at Colonial Bank, where she led the development of and trained the sales team. Additionally, she was responsible for overseeing strategic mergers and acquisitions in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Nevada, and Texas.

Parker is a native of Montgomery, Alabama, and a graduate of the University of Alabama. Parker serves on the board for Easter Seals of Alabama.
Shannon is married to Orlando Parker and has three children: Jasmine, Lauren Ashlee, and Orlando Jr.
