Thai Embassy First Secretary Visits BCA as Part of Alabama Commerce Tour

The Business Council of Alabama recently welcomed representatives from the Thai embassy in Washington, D.C., who were on a commerce tour of Alabama, and executives of BCA member Robert F. Henry Tile Co. at the BCA office.

BCA President William J.  Canary welcomed Royal Thai Embassy First Secretary Panupat Chavananikul, and Kay Kramer, assistant for First Secretary of the Royal Thai Embassy. They were accompanied by BCA members Robert F. Henry Jr. and Rob Henry, chairman and president respectively of Robert F. Henry Tile Co. in Montgomery. Robert Henry Jr. is Honorary Consul General for Thailand.

Thailand has a manufacturing association with Alabama. The Thai company, Indorama Ventures, owns two plants in Decatur, and has maintained local employment over the years with the kind support of state and local agencies, the company said.
