ProgressPAC Makes Dual Endorsement in Supreme Court Primary

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The board of directors of ProgressPAC has endorsed both Justice Brad Mendheim and Judge Sarah Stewart in the Alabama Supreme Court, Place 1, June 5 Republican primary, ProgressPAC Chairman Mike Kemp announced today.

ProgressPAC is the political arm of the Business Council of Alabama.

“While the decision to endorse two candidates for one seat is a bit unorthodox, the ProgressPAC board of directors felt that in this particular situation two of the three candidates running for this seat are well-qualified jurists who have the ability to effectively serve the great state of Alabama,” said Kemp, president and CEO of Kemp Management Solutions LLC in Birmingham.

“Both judges have a proven track record while serving on their respective courts, and the business community would be pleased to see either of these fine individuals on the state’s highest court,” Kemp said.

The BCA, Alabama’s foremost voice for business, is a non-partisan statewide business association representing the interests and concerns of nearly 1 million working Alabamians through member companies and partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama. The BCA is Alabama’s exclusive affiliate to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers
