Long-time Member of BCA Staff is Mourned

The Business Council of Alabama mourns the passing of a long-time employee, Julius C. Wilson of Montgomery, who died Oct. 4. “For 21 years Mr. Wilson was a dedicated and valued member of the BCA family,” BCA President and CEO William J. Canary said Thursday. “He was a caring advocate who leaves a legacy of warmth, love, and compassion for others. Our prayers are with his family at this time.”

Mr. Wilson was BCA Support Services from Dec. 17, 1990, until his retirement on Dec. 31, 2011. The Julius C. Wilson Conference Room in the BCA’s office in the Business Center of Alabama is named in his honor.

Memorial services are scheduled Friday at 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Ross-Clayton Funeral Home Chapel in Montgomery. A celebration of life for Deacon Wilson is scheduled at noon Saturday at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 452 Cramer Ave. in Montgomery, with the Rev. Arthur Green, Interim-Pastor, and Dr. T.V. Wilson, officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson is survived by two sons, Julius Wilson Jr., and John Wilson; sister-in-law Louise Dunlap; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Robinson and Leola McFadden; and brothers Brady Wilson, Albert Wilson, David Wilson, and Samuel Wilson.
