Business Council of Alabama President and CEO William J. Canary is scheduled to participate in the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama’s Roundtable Legislative Symposium scheduled June 23 in Birmingham.
“It’s an honor to be invited to the symposium by the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama and to be given time to provide participants with the Alabama business community’s thoughts on the legislative session,” said Canary, who serves on PARCA’s board of directors.
BCA board of directors’ members Philip Dotts, managing director, Public Financial Management, Inc., serves as PARCA’s president, and R. Preston Bolt Jr., partner, Hand Arendall, serves as PARCA’s vice president.
The breakfast symposium at The Harbert Center is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 9:30 a.m.
The symposium will be a review of the 2017 legislative session by CEOs of major advocacy organizations in Alabama, including the BCA, which is a co-sponsor of the event. Other participants will include A+ Education Partnership, Alabama Appleseed Center for Law & Justice, Alabama Arise, Alabama Education Association, Alabama Policy Institute, and Alabama Rivers Alliance.
The panel will be moderated by Don Dailey, News and Public Affairs Director at Alabama Public Television and host of Capitol Journal.
