MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Business Council of Alabama President and CEO William J. Canary said the entire Alabama business community is saddened by the news of the death of former Alabama Chief Justice Perry Hooper Sr.
“Chief Justice Perry Hooper, Sr. was a person who made history but understood he was simply an instrument of change from a higher calling. He was by all measures a good and decent man who led by example to right that which was wrong. He devoted his life to his faith, his family, his country, and to Alabama, which he so loyally served. His legacy will live “Ad infinitum” in the hearts of those he touched. Our prayers at the Business Council of Alabama are with Marilyn, his children and family during this time.”
