BCA a proud sponsor of River Region Ethics in Business and Public Service Awards

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (Oct. 17, 2016) – The Business Council of Alabama today sponsored the River Region Ethics in Business and Public Service Award that was awarded to Caddell Construction Company at a noon luncheon in Montgomery.

Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange presented the award on behalf of the BCA to Caddell. Founded in 1983, Caddell Construction Company is a major international construction company with projects in 28 counties and the continental United States. Other nominees in the large business category were Warren Averett CPAs & Advisors and Bradley Plumbing and Heating Inc.

The awards are a program of The Samaritan Counseling Center Inc. in collaboration with the schools of Business and Sciences at Auburn University Montgomery. Awards and were given in the small-, medium-, and large-business, and non-profit categories, and The Maury D. Smith Award for Excellence in Professional Ethics.

The BCA sponsored the large business category award.

The Tukabatchee Council of the Boy Scouts of America received the non-profit category award and The Maury D. Smith Award for Excellence in Professional Ethics was given to Montgomery philanthropic and non-profit board member and community leader Lynn Beshear.

The winner in the small business category was Cloverdale Service Center and the winner in the medium business category was Balch & Bingham LLP.

The River Region Ethics in Business and Public Service Awards recognize and foster a climate of ethical integrity by businesses, organizations, and individuals, promote awareness and education concerning ethical business and public service behavior, heighten awareness regarding programs and services of The Samaritan Counseling Center available to strengthen families and organizations, and to pay for scholarships for Auburn University Montgomery business and public administration students.

The Samaritan Counseling Center, Inc., provides mental health services, educational programming, and consulting services to those in need in the Montgomery River Region through a wellness-oriented philosophy emphasizing mind, body, and spirit. The Samaritan Counseling Center. Inc., was founded in 1999 and is one of the largest private providers of mental health services in Alabama, having served thousands of individuals and families in the River Region.
