BCA Mourns the Passing of Marty Sullivan

MONTGOMERY–The President and CEO of the Business Council of Alabama today issued a statement following news of the death of Marty Sullivan, the former long-time Senior Vice President for Public Affairs at the BCA.

Marty served the BCA for more than a decade.

“We are deeply saddened by Marty’s death but are grateful for the many years of expertise, counsel, faith, courage, and tireless work she provided to the business community of Alabama and the BCA,” said BCA President and CEO William J. Canary.

“Marty created a legacy of love, warmth, and devotion to the spirit of life. She always had a deep love for her family, her profession, and the art of communications. She allowed us to understand that standing up for what you believe was not just a responsibility but also a duty.

“Marty is a huge part of the success of the BCA today. Her vision, her passion, and her love for making the world a better place than how she found it will be a large part of her legacy to us all.

“Our prayers are with her husband, Hoke, her children, Martha Ann and Drew, and her entire family at this terribly difficult time.”

The Business Council of Alabama is Alabama’s foremost voice for business. The BCA is a non-partisan statewide business association representing the interests and concerns of nearly 1 million working Alabamians through its member companies and its partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama. The BCA is Alabama’s exclusive affiliate to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers.
