MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Business Council of Alabama President and CEO William J. Canary today issued the following statement upon the news that Governor Kay Ivey had appointed William B. Sellers as an Associate Justice to the Alabama Supreme Court:
“Justice Sellers is well-positioned to handle the constitutional questions faced by the Alabama Supreme Court,” said Canary. “As Governor Ivey noted in her announcement, it is his commitment to the rule of law that makes him uniquely qualified. Governor Ivey is building a strong track record of appointing individuals who are ready to serve on day one, and Justice Sellers is no exception.”
