MONTGOMERY–The Business Council of Alabama family is celebrating the life of former BCA board member Ted Henry, who died October 21, 2014. In a career that spanned more than 50 years, he served as chairman and CEO of Henry Brick Company, and he was a longtime member of the BCA, serving on its board of directors, executive committee and as a district chairman.
“Ted Henry over many, many years was a dedicated member of our BCA leadership and board of directors,” said BCA President and CEO William J. Canary. “He was a devoted advocate for business in both his home community of Selma and across Alabama. He leaves a legacy of love, faith, warmth and devotion to the spirit of life.
“The epitome of ‘a fine southern gentleman,’ Ted was respected and admired by all who came into his world. I am forever grateful to have benefitted from his friendship, inspirational example, and business and political counsel. Our world is truly a better place today because of Ted Henry.
“The Business Council of Alabama, its leaders and members’ prayers are with his family at this time as we all celebrate his life.”
