Vice President of Political Affairs and Regional Operations, Executive Director of ProgressPAC
Nathan M. Lindsay is Vice President of Political Affairs and Regional Operations for the Business Council of Alabama, and Executive Director of ProgressPAC, the political action committee of the BCA.
In these roles, Lindsay oversees all aspects of BCA’s state and federal grassroots advocacy programs, political fundraising, and supporting the activities of the ProgressPAC board of directors and the BCA’s nine regional advisory committees who recommend endorsements of candidates and elected officials. Lindsay is part of the BCA’s Advocacy Team and also assists in the association’s lobbying members of the Alabama Legislature on BCA-supported legislation. He chairs the legislative committee of Alabama GRIT, a coalition of business, education and civic leaders from around the state who support and advocate for Alabama’s College and Career Ready Standards.
He previously served as BCA’s Director of Political Affairs and Regional Operations as well as BCA Press Secretary.
Lindsay served for five years in the administration of former Governor Bob Riley. He was hired in early 2006 as the governor’s Deputy Press Secretary, a position he held until he took a leave of absence in September 2006 to serve as Press Secretary for the Bob Riley for Governor Campaign.
In 2010 he was Riley’s point person on Alabama’s College and Career Ready Standards as they made their way through the adoption process at the State Board of Education. He remained on the governor’s staff until January 2011.
Lindsay is a graduate of Faulkner University with a degree in history.
