Tuscaloosa Businessman Elected Chairman of BCA

BIRMINGHAM—The Business Council of Alabama has elected new officers to lead the organization in 2013.  At the annual meeting of the BCA on Friday, December 7, 2012, Carl Jamison was unanimously elected as the 2013 chairman.  Jamison is a shareholder at JamisonMoneyFarmer, PC, a Tuscaloosa accounting, auditing, tax and consulting firm.

“Carl is the right man to lead this organization because he understands the importance of the private sector in growing and sustaining Alabama’s economy,” said BCA president and CEO William J. Canary.  “His commitment to education will also serve us well as we continue to forge a permanent business and education alliance in Alabama to ensure that Alabama is a leader in education reform.”

A third-generation Shareholder in his firm, Jamison joined JMF in 1980 and was admitted as a shareholder in 1987. Jamison’s primary areas of concentration involve tax and audit.  He is a graduate of the University of Alabama and serves on the boards of the University of Alabama President’s Cabinet; Tuscaloosa County Industrial Development Authority; Boys and Girls Club; and First Tee of Tuscaloosa.

Terry Kellogg – President and CEO, BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama – Birmingham

Charles Nailen – President, BBG Specialty Foods – Dothan

Secretary:

Philip Dotts – Managing Director, Public Financial Management, Inc. – Huntsville

Legal Counsel:

Fournier J. “Boots” Gale – Senior Vice President/General Counsel, Regions Financial Corp. - Birmingham
