BCA Elects New Officers, Hears from National Journal Correspondent

Members of the Business Council of Alabama looked ahead to a new year by electing 2012 officers and board members at their Annual Meeting December 2.  All board member and officer terms begin January 1.

Terry Kellogg, president and CEO, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, was elected BCA’s chairman, taking over for 2011 Chairman Will Brooke, managing partner for Venture Capital, Harbert Management Corporation. Other officers elected were Carl Jamison, partner, JamisonMoneyFarmer PC, Tuscaloosa, first vice chairman; Fred McCallum, president, AT&T of Alabama, Birmingham, second vice president; Phil Dotts, principal, Public FA, Huntsville, secretary; and Charles Nailen, president/owner, BBG Specialty Foods, Dothan, treasurer. Fournier J. "Boots" Gale, senior vice president and general counsel, Regions Financial Corporation, was elected general counsel.

Major Garrett, congressional correspondent and columnist for the National Journal, was the keynote speaker for the meeting, held jointly with the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama.
